PHOTOGRAPHER, LONDON, UK

Much of Amanda’s work is centred around people, and their interactions with the world around them. Her images are often relatable; capturing moments that allow people to interpret the work for themselves.

Writing is part of her practice. For Amanda, writing is mostly used as a way to generate ideas, figure things out, and reflect on life in general. She writes a blog which comes out roughly once a month, and you can read her blog here. Amanda’s work is exhibited regularly both in the UK and abroad, and her images (and words) have been printed in numerous publications including the Portrait of Britain, and fLIP magazine which is a publication created by London Independent Photography. She was editor of fLIP Magazine for two and a half years.

Last year Amanda was awarded a grant from Thamesmead Community Fund which enabled her to create the project ‘Getting To Know You’. For this project she created a series of portraits of artists that are based at the Lakeside Studios in Thamesmead. The project culminated in an exhibition with an accompanying publication.

Her long-term project 4 x 4 x 4 continues to build, and you can read more about that on the Projects page.
